1999 Volvo V70 XC Q&A

1999 Volvo V70 XC Question: No start after fuel pump replacement

I am trying to track what I think is an electrical problem with fuel system, no power to pump. All fuses ok. I cant get power to the plug, on the main harness, for the fuel pump. Any idesa on where to start? -
Answer 1
Don, Did the fuel pump have power before replacing it? Do you have a wiring diagram so you can fault trace this circuit? Have you checked the ECM for any fault codes? There's so much that can cause this, so you have to get some info from the vehicle, like the fault codes. These cars have the immobilizer system which allows the engine to crank over but it won't send power to the fuel pump, therefore you'd really be on the wrong track here. If you can provide some more information it would be a big help. -
