Are you sure the fuel pump in your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado is good? Fuel pressure should be 55-62 psi with the fuel pump running and the engine off. Please double check, fuel pump failure would be by far the most common cause for a crank no start condition on your Silverado. If fuel pressure is good, you will need to go back to the basics of checking proper spark and compression. Looking at the scan data from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) could show an out of range sensor or a fault code stored even though the engine light is off.

I had a similar problem with my 04 colorado. Crank but will not start fuel, spark test were good, Final report Pass Lock Sensor invalid code.Had to take it to dealer they replace it and put valid code no problem after that. Cost $490.

The fuel pump may fail causing the engine to stall and not restart.
I can walk away for awhile 2hrs or so and it comes right on.
