no start on 1996 Pontiac Grand Am

my friend's car won't start. they have replaced the fuel pump. I noticed the anti-theft light is on constant. I checked codes with a mac pro reader. it came up with cam and crank sensor codes. Is this due to the pass-lock system. I can't hear the pump running when the key is on.

I would suggest to diagnose and repair the ant-theft system in your 1996 Pontiac Grand Am. Please use the following link for more information on GM anti-theft systems - http://repairpal.com/gm-passlock-anti-theft-systems. Often times the ignition lock cylinder is at fault but assuming that may get you in more trouble. Electronic service information is available from Mitchell, please use the following link for more information - http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online.

turn egnition switch to the on position, don't crank it, and wait ten minuets. If no go check dash cluster if not working replace and repeat 10 min deal. Good luck
