2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Question: No side brake lights and all gauges are dead

All the gauges on the dash stopped working; fuel spedometer, oil pressure, temp. The miles dont light up and the selector for reverse drive etc. The side brake lights dont work but the top one does

    If both problems occured seperatly the brake light problem could be caused by the multifunction switch. GM had a problem with the instrument cluster themselves they would just quit working.

    Did you check all your fuses? That is the first step. Sounds like it could be a number of things.
