Question: No power to fuel pump

 Rookie

I have a 1989 Prelude,the problem is i lose power to the fuel pump at ignition.I have power at start and the engine will start for that few seconds but when key comes back to ignition I lose power.Checked main relay.i get the 3 clicks at start and have power from relay to pump.I ran a hot wire directly to pump and runs great.Fuses are all good,

    Sounds like the 'run' pole in your ignition switch that feeds the fuel system failed. Pretty common on Honda. Good Luck!

    wow thank you thats the prob i replaced the fule filter did not work took off the fule hoe=se turnd the key had fule for 3 secs so its the relay cool verry helpfull thanks david hurst
