1993 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question: no power at all when key is turned on

try to turn key to start van. when key is on there is no power at all motor wont crank lights[headlight,dome,all]dont work cant roll up or down windows locks everything has no power all fuses are good

    Have you checked for a fusible link at the starter. or up by the battery. Dodge also has a problem with the big black connectors beside the battery getting all gunked up and the wires will be covered with a white powdery residue.

    I had a similar problem. I started by cleaning my battery terminals. Van ran good for about a day and then shut down. Looked through online forums and found one lady that said her husband took the ground wire off under the battery tray and cleaned the corrosion off of that. When I was doing that, I also noticed that the red cables from the positive battery terminal were separate from the clamp and were attached to the clamp by bolts. I took those two bolts off and cleaned all of the corrosion off of those as well. So far no problems.

    general motors has a device called a current limiter switch ; which basically dodge has the same thing (except) you have a ceramic connector ; is white 2 or 3 " in length around the firewall or @ the plentm might want to make sure that it is not burned(smell,looks burned or corroded hop it helps.... Speedy!
