no power on 1990 Ford E-250

When engine is cold, it runs okay. But when its warmed up, you step on the gas, and the engine labors badly. Also at idle, the check engine light goes on,then turns off when throttle depressed.

Fuel filter may need some changing. Instead of guessing. Just take it in for a diagnostic and make sure you get codes and look them up online . See what are common causes for those codes to pop up. Just maybe it'll be something you can fix yourself. Al from Sam Diego
