i changed the light switch, was not the problem, let me tell you what its doing.. If you pull the light switch out slow and catch it in between parklights on and all the way off dash lights fog lights parklights and taillights come on but if you pull it all the way on headlights come on and everything else goes out, but if you push in just a little bit the headlamp goes out and the rest come back on.. with the headlamp on i got brake lights and i can use turn signals but no parklights...HELP PLEASE

In the power distribution center check the use #6 (40 Amp) and in the fuse box check fuse # 18 (15 Amp) if they are good it sounds like a bad head light switch. You would need to look at a wiring diagram and look at test procedures for the switch. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... What did you find to be the problem? I am having the same thing going on with my 97 too
Headlights,park lights,dome light works. No dash lights work. Have replaced main headlight/dimmer switch. Still have no dash lights. All connectors checked. Have NO voltage either side of good 5amp...
