2006 Chevrolet Impala Question: No crank no start

Ok to star of I change a starter and battery
Here's a list of things it doing
1.won't scan or Link u A scanner
2. the gear indicator on the dash won't indicate what gear I'm in
3.and I think my car thing that is not important you tell me to put it in park for some features

I took the car to summit transmission and they told me that they didn't think it was the TCM then is that a mechanic told me he think it was my computer gone bad then the other mechanic said to you my inition switch

    Crank and run ok on the way to summit transmission? All this must have happened after that.!!?

    No I had it Towed then the tried to scan it to get the code but it wouldn't link up

    Mr james, the obd ii diagnostic connector needs to be checked for power and ground. You need a mechanic that is more familiar with this! If you replace the computer and it doesn't fix it, the computer is still yours! Need to be sure!

    They said something like a mouse ate a wire Could be it and a half and park the car in the garage because been snowing a lot lately and I guess they found some droppings in the car some stuff and tone up on the passenger side but it didn't like they Bit anything
