The engine may stall at times due to a failed crankshaft position sensor and/or camshaft position sensor, These sensors can fail intermittently as they warm with the engine. The catalytic converter closest to the cylinder head can fail causing illumination of the Check Engine Light. Prompt repair of this problem is recommended because the catalyst material can be sucked into the engine and cause internal damage.

The mass air flow (MAF) sensor can fail, causing various drivability problems. Our technicians remind us that proper diagnoses should be performed to confirm the cause of any driveability concerns.

A weak battery or low battery voltage can cause the transmission to enter into fail safe mode. This will cause a loss of power because the transmission will be locked in third gear.
