Question: new timing belt rubbing and engine is overheating

just had a new timing belt put in. it has a new water pump on it. now belt is rubbing and the car is overheating

    Need to check to be sure the water pump is correct heigth compared to old. May be wrong pump. If is wrong can be a different rotation design that is now not moving coolant thru system. Make sure thermostat is working. Make sure you check your timing belt install to make sure is routed correctly at the different pulleys and tensioners and make sure the noise is not one of the idler/tensioner bearings.
