New Brake Pad Wear Sensor Design Will Prevent Squealing on BMW 530xi

If the brakes are squealing, there's a good chance it is the brake pad wear sensor. A new design was implemented in January 2006 and can be identified by its green color.

The brakes constantly squeak, and when I took it to the dealership, I was not due for a brake job for another 500 miles. It was not repaired and was not checked to see if the new sensor was installed.
