Question: New battery but still won't start

Won't start, battery bad so I put a new one in and still won't even turn over. All dash lights come on but no sound no crank no start.

    starter or cylonoid (sp?) tap on the cylonoid with a pipe with good force, if it starts, replace the starter cylonoid

    Well I took my other key and tried to start it this morning and it started. Then I took the key I normally use and it started with that also. I do still have a passenger resraint malfunction message and the airbag light on so not sure on that yet. Thanks for your help.

    just happened to mine and it might be this nuetral safety switch on the transmission. cost me turn key $1300.00
