YOU CAN SHOP AROUND BUT INEXPENSIVE=CHEAP. DO YOU WANT A CHEAP JOB? THIS IS A JOB FOR A DARN GOOD MECHANIC
AND A SHOP WITH LOTS OF "EXPENSIVE" TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT. DONT SETTLE FOR LESS! OR IT WILL COST YOU MORE.
IF THE REPAIR IS NOT DONE RIGHT IT CAN CAUSE A BUNCH OF ENGINE DAMAGE. GET A COUPLE OF QUOTES.
NOW JOE DOWN THE STREET MIGHT BE ABLE TO DO THIS BUT WHERE WILL HE BE IF THINGS GO WRONG?
SORRY FOR THE RANT, I HAVE JUST SEEN TO MANY BOTCHED JOBS.
They give you A RANGE in repair my car from 210-366 (plus belts). I understand the logic and I know I have to pay someone for their expertise and tools but the dealer charges 600 for a pump and belts. I really don't expect to pay 210 plus the belt cost to have this work done. I am looking for a fair price from someone locally. I would hope someone would direct me to someone who they would have used to do the work something like I used so and so and he charged 450. Dealer belts are 65.99 installed with pump. thanks for your help I agree it is necessary to use someone good.
THAT IS A REALLY GOOD PRICE, CONSIDER GETTING THEM TO DO THE JOB! CANT BEAT OEM PARTS ALSO!!!
NOW, IS THAT THE "TOTAL" PRICE? INCLU. ANTIFREEZE AND OTHER MISC. CHARGES AS THESE CAN ADD UP QUICKLY.
I DONT MEAN GET IT TO THE EXACT PENNY. BUT BEWARE OF EXTRAS. REGARDLESS GOOD LUCK TO YOU.
