Actual problem is a small bushing that seems unavailable from either Mazda parts or Ford parts. Was told only entire shifter cable available. Would like to know what would be a fair price for this job. Thanks. Car has about 40,000 miles on it. New battery, new drive train.
Need to replace shifter cable. Want to know fair price to do work. on 2001 Mazda 626

Thank you, Greg. The cost I got was $1100.00 and I suspected it was high. At a friend's suggestion, they're going to try to use only the bushing from the cable kit that they order, thereby reducing labor time, so it should reduce the price some. Time for a new garage, though, I think. Thanks again.
