After first starting the engine, the oil pressure gauge reads normal and within the first ten seconds the gauge drops to nothing and wont go back up at all. My first thought was to replace the sending unit yet I cant seem to locate it. I would also like to know how to remove it, if its not obvious removal. (1997 ford F250 4x4 w/4.6 Lit. Triton)

    Found this online:

The switch is going to be mounted into the same chunk of metal that the filter screws onto. Actual location depends on whether 2WD or 4WD.
Single plug-on wire connector, usually can be removed with a socket.
I'd suggest replacing it during your next oil change. Keeps the mess down.
Slightly different location on the 4x4 model. Remove the drivers side wheel, then can access the switch located on a metal fitting on the side of the engine just above the front axle gearcase. Follow the hoses from the remote oil filter housing back to the engine and there it is.
