My 01 Lincoln ls won't turn over what can be the problem and how much would it cost?

    Won't turn over...as in...will not crank? Engine cranks and will not start? Unfortunately really need a little more information to help point you in the right direction...

    My first thought is anti theft or fuel related. What does the little red LED on the dash do when you crank? Stay solid? Flash fast? Go off? Secondly, check on the inertia switch in the trunk to make sure the button is pushed down (drivers side left foot kick panel area). In case of any impact, the inertia switch will pop causing fuel to cut off for your safety. For fuel system issues, the fuel tank has two senders. The fuel in the chambers of the is supposed to be balanced at all times, and the one sender feeds the other. When a malfunction occurs, you can have one sender dry, causing a no start. Something I've experienced a few times before...not necessarily your issue. Start with the ant-theft light info and inertia switch first. Good luck.
