My truck is leaking coolant from behind the water pump on 2001 Dodge Ram 1500

Took pump off and replaced it but it is still leaking coolant behind the pump next to the block. Could this be just a gasket and what would it entail to replace it?

Check the bypass hose to see if that is your leak! That one that's hidden behind the A/C compressor bracket and hooks to the pump. Also the heater hose outlet that also connects to the H2o pump. Yes, it is possible the pump gasket is leaking as well.

It is not the water pump to block gasket seeing as how the water pump don't bolt up to the block it bolts to the timing chain cover and that bolts to the block it is more than likely the timing chain cover gasket that is where mine was leaking from
