My truck does not start. on 2007 GMC Canyon

has happened 5x. Shops have diagnosed it, cannot find why. has gas, plenty cranking power no go. After 30min. it starts. Other times no, tow truck to shop. They said the same thing, but cannot find out why, Should I just get rid of it, problem solved or do you have any ideas. Your help greatly appreciated. Diagnostic check, did not show anything. mike

This problem could be the Security Module switch which is located inside your steering column. My truck had this problem for many months and the dealership would perform a diagnostic test and nothing would appear wrong. I ended up repairing my truck at home and saved hundreds of dollars in labor costs. However, this repair was a rather involved one which I wouldn't recommend to the average DIY home mechanic.
