    You can try. Starting with the dealership is a good idea, because there were some systematic problems with Honda transmission earlier this decade.

    Thank you very much-so since I can't drive the car there-it's nt moving, do you think I can simply walk into a honda dealership and tell them or will I need proof. Also do you know anything about 100 000 mile warranty for the honda odyssey? Thanks again for prompt response

    There were some problems with the transmissions but due to age it is unlikely the dealer will help you out could try calling Honda North America customer service and see if they would offer a good will gesture, but also call a local independent Honda repair and see what they would charge.
