is this a switch in the gearshift handle or internal within the transmission??

     Master

    The tow/haul is located in the gearshift handle and sends a signal to the powertrain control module on your 2001 Chevrolet Silverado.

    the tilt colum breaks the wires when you move it up or down, we went in and lenghting the wies 2 inches
