2001 BMW 740iL

Question: my radio,cd player and tape are working but i just lost sound,any ideas?

there was nothing done to a car ,there was no problems,i was driving listening to my cd player went to a store,come back started a car looks like cd playing no sound,changed tracdioks,cd"s,switched to radio ,to tape no sound since last week,please any ideas,CENTER BMW SERVICE center advicers have no clue,but willing to conect to a computer to find a problem for" $140.00 per line" cant affored it at this time but my husband can check or change any part as long as somebody can specify or had same problem.PLEASE HELP

    You may have a blown fuse. Check all the fuses especially the radio fuses. If they are ok, then it may be that the stereo is defective, not uncommon.
