Question: My oil light comes on and will some times go off. can I disable it?

i've been told nothing is wrong with car

    I would notdisable the oil light you would have no warning of low oil pressure which could result in serious engine damage. Has anyone verified the oil pressure? Perhaps change the oil and filter and the oil pressure switch and see if that cures the problem but I would not drive the car until I new it had sufficient oil pressure.
