Question: my mitsubishi 3000gt 57,000 mile auto tran just lost all foward gears rev is OK

Question

there were no noises or "bumps" I started the car and all forward gears were gone

    Shifter module or switch. or wrong bulbs installed check and replace both reverse light bulbs with the right bulbs.

    I am not mechanical but I am curious ... what do you mean by "the correct bulb?"

    I only ever seen this one time but it was on a Mitsubishi it had a brake light bulb in the reverse bulb socket it thru off the computer thinking the car was in rerverse always.Probabley not the case with you but dont overlook it.
