Question: My Lexus will not excelleration anymore. What could be causing this?

Once my car would cool at first it would go back in gear and drive. Now it doesn't move at all no matter which gear I put the car in. What could be the cause of this before i let a mechanic stick my pockets up?

    When it first happend you should have had the filter and fluid changed,it migght help to have it changed but I never heard of a filter being so cloged that it would stop the trans from working,if you realy like the car the trans are not populer and you should be able to find a used one hope this helps. please ex. spelling.
