Question: My heat stopped working.. temp gage still works but have no heat! why?

it takes it about 20 minutes to get a little warm why is this?

    I would check coolant level first. low coolant level causing a no heat condition because coolant cant circulating in heater core. Does the gauge shows normal temperature?
