The Temp. gauge looks good. This just started & is doing it all the time. I found a small leak in the block at the top right over the water pump & steering resevoir (just a trickle). This was last summer & i installed a new water pump, thermostat & upper hose. That did not fix the leak, so i have been waiting for warmer weather to pull it apart and fix. Now i am hearing the water move through the system when i first start my truck. I realise there must be air getting in my system, but now the new problem with the heat not coming to the driver side is got me stumpped. My trucks mileage is 163,000 with the 5.7.

No it is the regular control, that comes on most of these models.

There is 2 mode door actuators on the top back of the heater case! works for one side and the other for the other side. The dash has to be removed to access the heater case and repair. It calls for 4.9hrs

Thanks, i have seen a couple videos on the recirculation & blend doors.I will have to watch more to find which one is for the right-left flow.

If you had a scan tool that can read HVAC data, you could test the actuators first. Good luck.
