Which light system do you have? My 2007 has HID and am currently having less than great results from dealers and body shop. The HID headlight lens should be clear and blue-white in color. If the color is tan or reddish the bulbs are worn out. If is foggy it is either dirty or damaged inside the assembly. In Canada we have to run the headlights as daytime running lights. I purchased my Maxima with 93,000 Km and mine were no longer blue/white at that time. I plan to have the lights reprogrammed to not work as daytime lights and use the cheaper and easier to replace fog lights in the day time. HID replacement bulbs are $182 each in Canada from dealer.

I recently has right side headlight assembly replaced due to accident. I asked that they change both bulbs so they would match and they agreed. Both sides are now blue/white in color. However the old headlight is obviously dusty inside. No one knows how to clean it so far. Light output is greatly reduced and the lens appears to be foggy. There is no moisture, just some dust or dirty reflector between the bulb and the final projector lens. Dealer unable to clean or advise how to clean. Am going to try clean air blast from bulb hole in assembly.
