Check your throttle plate, if dirty, black, use some carb cleaner and a clean rag. Spray and wipe the plate and mating surfaces. Don't over spray cleaner, not very much needed, spray a little then wipe clean. Hint; It might be hard to restart if you use to much cleaner.

Look up the fact that the engine will freeze up because the seal where the windshield wipers are lets water leak into the engine and rusts things out. Then it starts with stalling, check engine light and then you go to start it one day, you will hear a big bang and I think it's the pistons that shoot through the engine block. Lots of comments online. 2004 durango. I have one too, damn sales people, Dodge will not recall it but is quite aware of the problem even though they say not enough people have reported this, it seems to me all they have to do is read the internet. Bullshit.
