Question: My dash warning light , says tranmission hot but fluid level is good

recently changed fluid and filter , 99k miles ,

    You may have an issue with the transmission temp. sensor. Or you may actually be over heating the transmission. If it only comes on during hard driving ie. Towing heavy hauling

    it comes on after 30+ minutes of driving and the dipstick and fluid is very hot, not the senor

    If it started to happen after you had the fluid replaced it is possible. That some thing may have been altered within the transmission oil pan. Or you may have a clog in the Transmission cooler lines. If your vehicle has an allison Transmission.Make sure the small spin on oil filter was also replaced during the service, with a suitable replacement filter.
