my wife went to church one day, when i received a call from her telling me that the transmission had quit,we had no
symptoms of nothing, van was running perfect,so i read extensively about what a regular john can do to fix this problem without braking the family egg nest, so i replace the solenoid pack, and the input and output speed sensors to no avail, what troubles me is that i didn't get any trouble light or check engine light everything was normal on the cluster panel and still is,no codes,,,,...

I feel your pain My Transmission went when the Mrs. was driving it and said it just stopped working.
When it was just fine. No warning.
    I did a little inspecting.
I started the van put it in gear and with my foot on the brake Power Braked it. I could here the tranny just scrambled and grinding.
I inspected the Transmission stick for Metal flakes in the sun light. Seeing none I dropped the pan leaving a little of fluid on the bottom and inspected again for metal. Seen Metal present and knew it was toast and just got a bone yard tranny for $100 and slipped that in.

I wish I knew the answer to this riddle....literaly. Same thing just happened to my 02 caravan. No warning, just quit after a 40 mile drive went into the mall for 45 min and went to leave and nothing. No rev or fwd just the all to familiar dog transmission canabalizing itself screetching and grinding. So I ask you, did you solve your trans woes and if so, what was it??

hi! as much as i hate to tell you that it wasn't a cheap fix! i had to spring $1200 for damage done internally my buddy the mechanic said that the planetary gears were
shot along with some other hard parts, in short ended up replacing what was ailing
the tranny, lucky me my friend only charge me half of price for fix.
