Question: my car would not crank.when trying to crank i hear a clicking sound.

already tested battery,and starter.

    Connections connections and connections. Did you do a load test on the battery or just open circuit vaoltage. Try the old headlights on and hit the ignition. educated Guess - It sounds like somting is loose or corroded. Wiggle the cables clean all and try again. good luck.

    Okay, the clicking sound should be the starting motor trying to start the engine. Try to jump start the vechicle and tell me if this works or not and what happens. If the jump works and then while running the car dies, your alternator is probably at fault or the fusible link is bad. If the jump doesn't work, you may not be getting fuel flow. Depends on history with a vechicle of this age. Let me know which.
