It started as I was putting the car in reverse yesterday. It did a little sputter, but I pressed on the gas and it was fine. I used it this morning and it was fine. I tried to use it again today and it will turn over but not start.

how can you get to the fuel filter?

check with the local parts store, but it should be under the hood next to the carberator unless you have a fuel injected motor, then i would check your injectors. if they are dirty you could dump a can of injector cleaner in the gas tank and see if that helps.
