My car keeps over heating and heater isn't working. on 1998 Dodge Stratus

I changed the thermostat and changed the tubing new radiator and everything and it still overheats. I don't know why else it could be? It gets so hot that my car shuts off. Could it be the heating coil?

check cooling fans if you turn ac on cooling fans should run if they don't when ac is on your temp sensor, fans or a shorted wire

Remove the thermostat. If it still overheats it could be blocked radiator(check hoses for antifreeze flow) or take it to a radiator shop for a professional cleaning. Not to put a damper on things you might have a blown head gasket if loosing antifreeze.
