Rookiewhen my '99 was doing that, it turned out to be the battery making contact with the hood. a shorter batt. was my cure!

Visitor, August 17, 2010, 09:52ReplyMine did this too and the mechanic said the motor was bad. I took it home and installed a new EGR valve and everything is back to normal.
