Question: my car does not go into reverse

my car kept shutting off and in the freeway when it did that i put it in park forgetting to put it in neutral and after that it wont go into reverse

    Unfortunately the transmission may have internal damage but would need to be checked out by a mechanic before jumping to conclusions.

    If it is the transmission how much do u think it Will cost to repair the damage, i know its not exact but what are you thinking thank u
