  I had the same problem on a 325 and it was the crankshaft sensor, but before buying any parts i would check the fuel pump make sure your getting gas, check for spark, and if you have a diagnostic machine try to get a code from the vehicle

  He is right, I had the same problem crankshaft sensor was the problem. You can check the fuel pump making a bridge from the fuse box. fine the fuse from the fuel pump and test it, if make some noise the pump is good.
