my caliper bolts are going all the way to the rotor when tightened down. on 1990 GMC 1500 Pickup

all brake components have been replaced. From the hub to the pads. new rotors, pads, calipers, lines (steel and rubber). And i did double check the new parts. they are all the right ones.

There is steel sleeves that the bolts slide thru that fit in the ears of the caliper and you have left them out from the old calipers. The sleeves keep the spacing correct and keep bolt from tightening all the way down as you say it is doing. Next time pay real close attention to details when "swapping parts."
