2004 Ford Excursion

Question: My brake lights only work with hard pedal pressure.

My excursion comes to a complete stop and the with hard pedal pressure the brake lights come on. What causes the light not to work with normal pedal pressure?

    You have a failing or misadjusted brake light switch under the dash at pedal area.
