2001 Nissan Pathfinder

 

Question: MY A C RUNS BUT DOES NOT COOL WHAT MAY CAUSE THIS.

I HAVE REPLACED EXPANSION VALVE AND DRIER COMPRESSOR KICK ON JUST WONT COOL.

    Who and how was the system charged? Is the heater control valve stuck open? When the compressor is running does the low side line get cold?(that's the larger of the two).May just not have enough refrigerant in it.Check the underhood label for specs.

    I filled the a c myself after I had the unit evacuated. No lines get cool nor is there any condensation. unit is fully charged. Thanks

    Do you have pressure guages?, if so ,What are your readings at idle and then at 2000 RPM with A/C on MAX-COOL & fan on high?

    I understand ---NOT stupidity --- you just haven't done the same thing thirty or forty times a year ...have you? Glad to hear you got it fixed! Just curious... something un-plugged?
