Question: My 2006 jeep liberty brake lights will not work. the bulbs and fuse are good.

the light above the rear hatch will work when the brakes are applied

    You may possibly have a bad brake swith or a electrical wiring problem. If the brake lights as well as the third brake lamp are out then it could be either or. If the third brake lamp works it is more likely that you have a wiring problem.
