2002 Volkswagen Jetta Question: My 2002 Jetta will not turn over.

My 2002 Jetta 1.8 T will not turn over I replaced battery and it still would not turn over what could be problem. -

i'm guessing by turn over you mean it wont crank? make sure the engine is free by turning it a little with a wrench or socket. hopefully its not siezed. the car may not know its in park or nuetral. have the signal tested. do you have an alarm that blocks cranking? and finally check for constant power at the big starter cable and see if power goes to the small wire with the key held in the start position. if both powers are ok and the fat eng ground cable is good then you need a starter. -
