its slips into 4th gear and has slow acceleration when it does. I have pinpointed the problem to P1298 sencor code which is the ELD electronic load detector. My question is will replacing the ELD fix my problem and has anyone had a similar problem and resolution.

NO the ELD is simply an ammeter for the PCM to use to control the alternator output.If your trans. problem is not caused by an electrical issue it won't fix it. Have the trans. diagnosed by a qualified trans shop or honda dealer.
