my 2000 bmw 328i runs good but i have a roaring noise what could this be? on 2000 BMW 328i

It occurs at speeds above 50mph when the brakes are applied it has a slight vibration in the steering wheel also.Should I have my brakes and rotors checked?

Maybe you have a tiger in your tank! :) Rotors with excessive lateral run out can cause a vibration that will be felt in the steering wheel when the brakes are applied. So yes, have your brakes checked, if the rotors have enough "meat" on them they can be machined and re-used.
