My 1996 rav4 has been in the garage for 5 months, when i started first day on 1996 Toyota RAV4

worked fine, but the next morning when i started idling was very low and engine cut off, but if i keep my foot on the exeleration pedal for a 10 seconds then it starts to idle fine

ck your battery 1st it may be weak and not putting out a good voltage. these cars need good voltage for all the sensors to work properly

Did you have to charge the battery first before you started it? If the battery was dead then it will take some drive cycles for it to relearn idle strategy.
