Question: my 1994 explorer with a 4.0 motor sometimes runs on 5 cyl and sometimes on 6cyl

have changed plugs, plug wires,fuel filter,injectors,lower intake gasgets,coil seems to be good,when it runs on 6 cyl, runs good then will start running on 5 cyl,and sometimes back and forth, any ideas

    how many miles on car and how is your wiring to coils? word has a wiggle test for wiring harness problems. so try to duplicate the misfire by wiggling diff wire harnesses. its intermitant so you may have a corrided wire or connector
