2002 Toyota Sienna Question: motor issue

i was driving my van when all of a sudden it died while i was sriving it all my lights,radio,heater all that still works but the car will not turn over i tried jumping it no luck it makes no sound at all ive checked all fluid levels and they r fine it made a slight pinging sound the day before this happened but it lasted a minute and stopped i did smell what smelled like rubber burning but i drove it another 20 miles that day and a good 45-50 miles the day it broke down it gave no warning just died while i was driving.any suggestions on what my problem could be,i despretley need help!!
