 Rookie

hello i got a 90 jetta gl 1.8L i have a problem with the car wanting to up and shut off it dont rev up inless u do it really slow a while back at the same time the gas pedel cable and the coil both went bad at the same time ever since then iv had this problem before that it ran like a champ how do i fix it.

    It sounds to me that you have a few separate issues that would need separate inspections to simplify your concerns.

    - Possible internal transmission
    - Gas pedal cable
    - Coil and ignition system
    - Electrical concern.
