Our son is at UNCW and needed repairs a year ago. Very bad experience and this year we researched online before having repairs done. We chose Mobiletech because of the reviews. We cannot say enough about the customer service, expediency, cost and quality of the work. Highly recommend and will use in the future.
My daughter just graduated from UNCW and lives in Wilmington (I live in Charlotte). She called me and said her car jerked and she thought it had transmission trouble. I drove down on Fri. evening after e-mailing Dave on Fri. morning and asking him if he could do an 8:00am transmission service Sat. morning. He said he could. After arriving late Fri. evening and driving the car I realized that it wasn't transmission trouble after all. It was skipping a cylinder at around 45-50 mph. I met him at the shop at 8:00am.After driving the car he suggested a complete tune-up and fuel injector cleaning. He said he would be ready by 11:00am. He called me at 10:45 and said it was ready. When I arrived at the shop to pick it up,he showed me the bad plug wires and where the spark plug had carbon build up.He also showed me the old distributor cap and rotor button. The car runs great now. I believe he has reasonable prices for service and does a good job of explaining services needed. I would highly recommend him and I'm glad my daughter has a good place to take her Honda now (when needed).
Just transferred to the area and took my Tacoma to the local dealer because my check engine light came on. They told me I needed a oxygen sensor and gave me a estimate for a bunch of flushes and filters I just had done back home before I moved, so I asked some co-workers and was recommended to Dave at MobileTech. He checked out my check engine light for free and replaced my O2 sensor with a Toyota sensor for $100 dollars less than they wanted to charge at the dealership. Very knowledgeable, friendly very clean shop!
Very honest and hardworking Dave will not guess he will find the problem and fix it the first time. I have had all 3 of my vehicles there and all my family and friends go to him as well. He is very good at what he does. So I say if you are looking for a really good mechanic give him a try and you will refer him to others.
I met Dave almost a year ago. He replaced a water pump on my Land Rover. He has helped me a lot in the past year. He is always available to answer a question, and he has always stood by his work. He is my first call for any mechanical problem. My girlfriend drives a Mini Cooper, and Dave has also helped her several times. I have referred friends and they have also had positive results. My car was damaged in an accident on College Road.. he was able to get me back on the road in just two days(parts had to be ordered) He was easy going and compassionate of my situtation. My tired assembly was fixed in no time and I was back on the road. He saved me hundreds...all my expenses were out of pocket so it helped ALOT.
I would so take my car to him again!!!
Something I have always had a hard time finding is a shop with great customer service and fast knowledgable staff - Well MobileTech has it! Dave went out of his way to look at my Acura RSX when the ABS light came on and he diagnosed the problem in no time. He even took the extra time explaining why the ABS light was on and how he was going to fix it. I highly recommend MobileTech to everyone I know!!
MobileTech is the only repair shop at Wilmington I can Trust. I came to Wilmington for graduate school, and didn't know anybody in town. I drove my car in Mobile Tech for check in, the staff was extremely honest with me on nothing needed to be worried about, as they found everything was okay.The quote they offer is the best deal in town. Please come here, as i can boldly say this is the only place they won't ripe you off as anywhere else, especially if you don't know much about car. Very courteous and polite staffs as well!
My 04 Saturn Vue had a loud droning noise in the front end and after taking it to a local mechanic, who told me everything seemed fine and to return in 3 months, I googled auto repair shops in 28461 and at the top of the list was MOBILETECH!! I immediately phoned JOSH and made an appointment for the next day. This owner runs an efficient team in a fast, clean shop; techs are constantly pulling cars in for diagnosis and repair, advisors are delegating work, checking for parts and answering phone/questions; customers are advised and cars are fixed . . . what more can you ask for. My NEW wheel bearing has a 3 year parts and labor guarantee and other additional maintenence recommendations were discussed for future repair. In June and August of 2011, I had both front wheel bearings done at Browns Auto in Southport and the parts had only a ONE YEAR warranty with higher parts price and this bearing would have been covered if only I had ventured up to MOBILETECH in the first place!! It's a good feeling when you find an auto repair shop that is trust worthy, reasonable and knowledgable. Thanks to ALL the staff, especially to my mechanic, JOHN, who was quick and got me back on the road!!! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!
Today I brought my car in to have work completed b/c I was told that the parts would be in and it would take 2hrs. to complete. I arrived at 8am and was greeted by Josh who acted as if he didn't know why I was there; then when looking at paperwork he stated: no part was there, he didn't know why I had came so early and that the employee (Hank) who he knew and was sitting right beside them listening last week no longer worked there. On top of this he claimed nothing was noted on paperwork, after calling the dealer was told part was never ordered and did I want them to order it now. HELL NO!!! After a lot more dancing around the whole mess and making excuses but no results; I took my car and left. When I called dealership to inquire about supposed parts ordered I was informed that they wouldn't have fixed the problem anyway and that they lied when they said it would take 3-4 days for parts to come in. I informed my warranty company of this issue and that no work was done so that if a claim was made they would know it was false. I will not be bringing my car back to them for anything nor will I be recommending them to anyone for repair work. Which is sad b/c they did work on my car a few years ago w/o all this mess that occurred on this visit. Plus the guy who I suspected was the owner tried to give me some garbage about something that had nothing to do with their part in all this mess. So I say be informed and double check to make sure their diagnosis is correct and get it in writing and most of all make sure the person you're dealing with will be there when you return.
