Mitsubishi Raider Problems
Camshaft position sensor failure causing no start or stalling
On the 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 the Camshaft position sensor failure can cause the engine to crank but not start or it can cause intermittent stalling. A new camshaft position sensor will be needed.
Ticking Type Noise From Exhaust Manifold Area
Exhaust manifold bolts commonly break. If this occurs any broken bolts should be replaced as necessary, the exhaust manifold gaskets should also be replaced at this time.
Clunk or popping noise from intermidiate steering shaft
A clunk or popping sound while turning is commonly caused by the intermediate steering shaft. Our technicians tell us that if this is the case, replacement of the upper intermediate shaft will be necessary.
Updated PCM software can help if transmission stays in second gear
If the automatic transmission intermittently stays in second gear (will not shift into a higher gear), restarting the engine may fix the condition temporarily. Updated software for the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) can solve this concern.
Software update to correct loss of reverse under certain conditions
Under certain conditions, some models may shift into neutral even though reverse is selected with the gear selector. A software update to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) will allow reverse engagement as long as the transmission has sufficient hydraulic pressure.

Truck handles ok. From day 1, I've had a problem with tire bounce. To-date, this problem hasn't been found or resolved. Ok truck for the buck. In my opinion, a Nissan Frontier has the BEST bang for your buck. My next purchase will be a Nissan purchase.
ther than mentioned above. All else is ok.
